Terms and Conditions

Last updated: April 25, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Camel Codeworks Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong ("we", "us"), about your use of the MailCast app for iOS ("MailCast" or "the app"). Please read them carefully. By installing or using MailCast, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use MailCast.

1. About MailCast

MailCast is an iOS app that helps you triage your inbox by ear. It connects to your email accounts on your iOS device, summarizes messages on the device, and reads them aloud using either built-in iOS voices or AI voices powered by OpenAI.

You can also act on your email through MailCast. For example, you can archive, delete, mark as read, move, and reply by voice using dictation, among other actions.

2. License

Your right to install and use MailCast is granted under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "EULA"), which you accept when you install the app from the App Store. The EULA covers your license to use MailCast on iOS devices you own or control, and the relationship between you, us, and Apple.

You can read the EULA at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

These Terms add to the EULA and cover our service relationship with you (subscriptions, AI features, third-party services, and so on). If there is any conflict between these Terms and the EULA, the EULA wins for matters it covers (the license itself), and these Terms apply for everything else.

3. Your email accounts and content

You connect your own email accounts to MailCast. You are responsible for:

  • Having the right to access and use those email accounts.
  • Following the terms of your email providers (Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, and so on).
  • The content of your emails.

MailCast processes your email on your iOS device. Details on what is processed where are in our Privacy Policy.

4. AI features, dictation, voice commands, and accuracy

MailCast uses AI and on-device speech recognition to read emails aloud, generate spoken audio, turn your spoken replies into text, and act on voice commands (such as "archive", "trash", "mark as read", or "move"). None of these are perfect.

  • Summaries may miss details, misinterpret meaning, leave out information, or contain errors.
  • Spoken audio may mispronounce names, addresses, numbers, or technical terms.
  • AI voices may sound different from the original sender's tone or intent.
  • Dictation may mishear words, miss punctuation, or transcribe something different from what you said. Names, numbers, addresses, and technical terms are especially likely to be misheard.
  • Voice commands may be misheard. MailCast may perform an action you did not intend, including destructive actions such as moving or deleting an email. Background noise, accents, similar-sounding words, and unclear speech all increase the risk.

Before sending a reply that was created by dictation, review the text. You are responsible for the content of any email you send through MailCast, including replies that were dictated and may contain errors.

For incoming email, do not rely on MailCast as your only way to read or understand important messages. For anything that matters (legal notices, medical instructions, financial information, deadlines, contracts, and so on) read the original email yourself.

You are responsible for any decisions you make, and any actions you take or trigger in MailCast (sending, replying, archiving, deleting, moving), based on what MailCast reads aloud, summarizes, transcribes, or interprets as a voice command.

5. Use while driving

MailCast is designed to be used hands-free, including while you commute. We mention this in our marketing because it is a real way people use the app. We want to be clear about what that means.

  • You are the driver. Driving safely, including keeping your attention on the road, is your responsibility, not ours.
  • Follow your local law. Laws about phone use, hands-free use, and in-car device interaction vary by country, state, and province. Some places restrict even hands-free use for some drivers. You are responsible for knowing and following the law where you are driving.
  • MailCast can be wrong. As described above, summaries, AI voices, dictation, and voice commands can all contain errors. While driving, you may not be able to immediately notice or correct mistakes (for example, an email moved to trash by a misheard voice command). Use MailCast in the car only when you are comfortable accepting that risk.
  • CarPlay, Bluetooth, AirPods, speakerphone. This applies to any way you use MailCast in the car, not only Apple CarPlay.
  • Pull over for anything important. If an email needs your full attention, your decision, or a careful reply, pull over safely and handle it on your iOS device.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any incident, injury, damage, or loss that happens while you are using MailCast in a vehicle. This includes accidents, traffic violations, and consequences of actions taken on email (sending, deleting, moving) while driving.

6. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

MailCast offers paid plans through in-app purchases on the Apple App Store.

  • Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing your subscription: You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings on your iOS device. Apple keeps an up-to-date guide here: https://support.apple.com/HT202039. We cannot cancel a subscription for you. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, and Apple does not share your Apple ID with us, so we have no way to identify your account or cancel it on your behalf.
  • Free trials: If a free trial is offered, any unused part of the trial is forfeited when you start a paid subscription.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund through Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Price changes: If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you and ask for your consent before charging the new price, where required.

The current pricing, billing period, and features of each plan are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Pricing differences: Prices shown on our website or other marketing materials are approximate and may differ from the actual price charged in the App Store. Apple sets final prices using its own regional price tiers, which take into account local taxes (such as VAT), currency conversion, and other factors. The price displayed in the app at the time of purchase is the actual price set by Apple and is the price that applies.

7. Third-party services

MailCast works with third-party services. We do not control these services and we are not responsible for them.

  • OpenAI — used only when you select an AI voice. The text to be read aloud is sent to OpenAI to generate audio. OpenAI's terms apply to that processing. See their policies at https://openai.com/policies/.
  • Apple — provides the App Store, in-app purchases, and the iOS platform. Apple's terms apply to those services.
  • Your email providers — your email accounts are governed by the terms of your provider (such as Google, Apple, or Microsoft).

If any of these services change, become unavailable, or end their relationship with us, parts of MailCast may stop working. We will try to notify you in the app where reasonable.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use MailCast to break the law, infringe rights of others, or harm people.
  • Connect email accounts you do not have the right to use.
  • Use MailCast in a way that overloads, disrupts, or interferes with the service or with third parties we rely on (such as OpenAI, Apple, or email providers).
  • Try to bypass paid features, security measures, or rate limits.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated audio as a human recording in a way that misleads or harms others.

We may suspend or end your access to MailCast if you breach these Terms.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep MailCast available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available service.

We may update, change, or discontinue MailCast or any of its features at any time. Where reasonable, we will give you notice before removing a feature you actively use.

10. "As is" — no warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MailCast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that MailCast will be uninterrupted, accurate, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. We do not warrant that AI summaries or AI voices will be accurate.

Some countries do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our warranties are limited to the minimum required by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of MailCast.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with MailCast is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for MailCast in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten US dollars ($10).

Some countries do not allow these limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the minimum required by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

12. Termination

You can stop using MailCast at any time by deleting the app from your iOS device. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through your Apple ID account settings before deleting the app.

We may suspend or end your access to MailCast if you breach these Terms or use MailCast in a way that harms us, other users, or third parties. Where reasonable, we will give you notice first.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including liability and governing law) will continue to apply after these Terms end.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. By continuing to use MailCast after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or MailCast will be brought in the courts of Hong Kong, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring the dispute in your local courts.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under those laws.
